New Media Literacy .org | About Us | Who We Are

Who We Are brings together a community of Web-savvy (and Web-smitten) activists, technologists, designers, educators, scholars, and businesspeople to develop new media projects for the cultivation of deep multimedia literacy among all Internet-users. Our definition of "literacy" reaches beyond the technical skills one needs to perform tasks using computers and networked information and encompasses the critical faculties one needs to evaluate, criticize, and learn from those resources. We publish and all of its assets free to the public in an effort to promote the literate use of new media on the Web and everywhere.
